Look no further! There are plenty of interesting and meaningful projects as part of the USGBC Massachusetts Membership Forum activities in Boston and state wide. There are on-going as well as temporary projects that are in need of active and motivated volunteer involvement. Many of these projects are at a level where anyone can participate, meaning it doesn't matter what skills you have, just choose which one you are most interested in and get involved today!

Emerging Green Builders 2009 Design Competition Planning Committee Interested in becoming more involved with the Boston area Emerging Green Builders? Consider joining the 2009 Design Competition Planning Committee! This is the second year that our EGB group is hosting a local competition and we are looking for energetic and creative individuals to join the planning committee. Responsibilities range from recruiting student and young professional teams to compete, organizing building tours and informational sessions, securing sponsors, facilitating the judging process, and more.

New England Real Estate Journal monthly contribution - We are looking for one or two motivated individuals who have or wants to develop connections in the green building industry and become involved in a high profile publication. Individuals who enjoy outreaching to different people for unique green building content, pulling together the story and doing basic editing are needed.   Expected time commitment  - three to five hours per month.       Monthly green building stories and content - Love learning about state of the art green building projects being built and certified in our community? Are you interested in doing interviews of high profile individuals and projects and/or seek stories from design and building professionals in Massachusetts? Then we need you to help with the Sustainable Building community monthly newsletter. Expected time commitment  - two to four hours per month.       Monthly advocacy & policy content - Connected to what's happening on the Hill? Do you keep on top of energy, climate and green design legislation in DC? If so, we need you to help us keep the community informed about what policy efforts are going on in the federal, state and local levels. Expected time commitment  - two hours per month. Boston LEED User Group (BLUG) - Once a month, LEED users gather informally to share experiences, lessons learned and tips about the various LEED Rating Systems. Topics range from LEED and historic renovation to challenges of commissioning. We are looking for a motivated volunteer to join the BLUG planning team (currently three individuals) to help organize and put on the monthly BLUG. Responsibility is split between the group so one person would only be responsible for three or four informal  BLUG's a year. Contact Aaron Desatnik - aaron@greenroundtable.org to get involved.

MA Sustainable Building Community Speaker's Bureau - We are looking for one person who is excited about further developing a database of local expert speakers on sustainable building topics. Individuals who are excited to recruit for, develop, and structure this important resource to education building industry professionals and general public are needed.
