The Legacy Project sub-committee serves to seek out possibilities for the local Boston "Legacy Project" which will be supported by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and announced as part of the conference. The project will include a green building educational component and should meet most of USGBC's requirements such as, it must be a permanent gift; serve low income and/or inner city groups; be of an appropriate size; be Greenbuild oriented; community supported and is not perceived as self-serving. Sub-committee members will assist USGBC with promotion of the Legacy Project locally and for getting the project up and running.
This group will also work to create interesting ways of coordinating some or all of the major design conferences coming to Boston in 2008 such as AIA, NESEA, Build Boston and Greenbuild. A project that has a thread throughout all or a greening strategy that can be applied to all conferences, are current possibilities.
